Check out this ‘pinterest’ worthy naming day and first birthday celebration I was lucky enough to officiate. Every little detail was carefully attended to by mum Stacey, making the setting the most beautiful backdrop of pink and gold, fit for two gorgeous fairy princesses.
The sisters, Miki (aged 5) and Emmie (aged 1) dressed in beautiful matching dresses, were little angels for their special event. Incorporating lots of family and friends, this was a beautiful ceremony that I loved being part of.

On the weekend I was fortunate to celebrate the Naming Ceremony for a great little boy - Logan. Logan is a gorgeous little three-year old who absolutely loves Superheroes. In honour of this I created a Superhero poem for Logan’s godparents promises which I think is just so cute. See photos of the poem and from his beautiful day below. His mum did a fantastic job with the theme and a wonderful day was had by all. So your best friend has asked you to be their Maid of Honour - Exciting, Thrilling, Daunting ... After a fantastic wedding at the Novotel Twin Waters on the Sunshine Coast on the weekend I felt inspired to share a great wedding idea. The whole wedding was personalised and reflected the happy couple, from the marriage ceremony to the wedding reception which was lovely to see.
A stand out for me was part of the wedding reception. The brother of the bride was the MC and he introduced a very brave but successful wedding reception idea - 'Ask the MC'. All wedding guests were invited to write messages and questions which the MC would then read or ask the newly weds throughout the night. This proved entertaining during the reception along with offering insights into their journey to date. At the end of the night the comments and questions were collated as a gift to the couple from all attendees. As a celebrant I am always very focussed on the wedding ceremony but I also love to share new and fun ideas for receptions. |
