Naming Ceremonies
Whether you are welcoming a new baby, blending existing families, or honouring all children of a family, a naming ceremony offers you a symbolic and meaningful, custom-designed celebration.
The celebration of rites of passage and rituals is an important component of our society - they mark a person’s transition through life stages and highlight the values and beliefs important to us. A naming day offers you the opportunity to formally and publicly welcome children into your family and community, name your child, express your thoughts and wishes for the child’s future, acknowledge and appoint guardians or godparents and express their wishes and promises to the child, and ceremonially announce the name of the child.

I will work with you to develop a unique and special naming ceremony that portrays the values important to you. I have a number of example ceremonies, rites and traditional rituals that you can peruse and together we will develop a personalised ceremony to celebrate your family. When required I supply and set up a professional, high quality PA system with the ability to play ceremony music, and will arrive at your location at least 15minutes prior to the ceremony. You will receive a commemorative naming certificate and beautifully presented copy of your ceremony. Contact me now so I can help you create a naming ceremony perfect for your family. |
