When the weather turned sour at a beautiful wedding at Spicers Tamarind Retreat Maleny, the girls and guys from CL Weddings and Events and Mondo Floral Designs were determined to ensure Karen and Adam would stand under the arbour they had commissioned,
Over the pond, through the window and the arbour was inside!
It looked absolutely beautiful
I am searching for a wedding reading for a beautiful couple at the moment and came across this hilarious verse. Whilst it is not suited to the wedding ceremony I am currently writing I absolutely love it and just had to share, I can't find an author to credit unfortunately.
Love me when I'm old and shocking
Peel off my elastic stockings
Swing me from the chandeliers
Let's be randy bad old dears.
Plump the cushions on my chair
Let me tease your white chest hair
Scaring children, swapping dentures
Let us have some great adventures
Take me out on lavish dates
Or send me off to meet my mates
Fillet my fish and bring me tea
Show me how it's meant to be
Take me out to rugby games
Let’s go watch the Hurricanes
You in shorts and socks and sandals
Me with wrinkles and love-handles
Keep the coffee hot and the beer cold
And say I look pretty even when I’m old
Make me laugh without constraint
Buy me chocolate body paint
Hold me safe throughout the night
When my hair has turned to white
Believe me when I say it's true
I've waited all my life for you.
Fiona and Neil managed to beat the storm and have their perfect beach wedding at Alexandra Headlands on the Sunshine Coast last weekend.
With the inclusion of four of their children (unfortunately the fifth was overseas and unable to attend) Neil and Fiona enjoyed a truly unique celebration of their love and commitment to each other and their family.
Popping a gold sparkly bottle of champagne together the family celebrated in style on the sand.
Whilst the dark storm clouds threatened to come over toward the end of the ceremony it was a beautiful day and the fun and energy truly reflected the gorgeous couple.
During September I was lucky enough to officiate two beautiful ceremonies at Flaxton Gardens. One had gorgeous sunny blue skies and the aspect looking out over the view was spectacular, whilst the other enjoyed the luck of rain on their wedding day so the ceremony was moved inside. The wet weather option offered at Flaxton Gardens is absolutely gorgeous and I have to say the ceremony was so beautiful it would be a hard choice for a bride to decide where to have their ceremony at this wonderful venue.
The staff are fantastic and provide excellent support throughout the day. I can't recommend the venue for a wedding ceremony enough.
I was honoured to receive this beautiful text from mother-of-the-bride after one of the ceremonies:
'Hi Sally. Just wanted to say a hug thank you for producing such a beautiful wedding ceremony for my daughter.. even though I may be a biased mum, the service was perfect even with last minute changes because of the weather. You were professional and organised with every detail, which enabled everyone to be relaxed. All our family and friends thought this as well. Thanking you so much'
But it is important not to overlook mum on your big day.
Here are some great ideas for including your mum.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of officiating the marriage between Michelle and Ken. It was a stunning day at Currumbin in a gorgeous location. The joy and love between the bride and groom clearly shone through and the whole wedding was just beautiful. Check out the pics below.
